Analisis Literatur: Efektivitas Komik Digital dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar dan Pemahaman IPAS Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Science (IPAS) learning in elementary schools still faces challenges, particularly the low level of students' learning interest and conceptual understanding. The development of digital technology has opened opportunities for engaging, interactive learning media, one of which is digital comics. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital comic media in improving elementary school students’ conceptual understanding and interest in science, and to identify contextual factors that influence its effectiveness. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Article searches were conducted using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application with the Google Scholar database for the period 2020–2025 using the keywords “digital comics,” “learning interest,” and “understanding of science concepts.” Of the 100 articles identified, a selection process based on inclusion criteria resulted in seven relevant articles for analysis. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that digital comics generally have a positive effect on conceptual understanding through engaging visualizations and narratives contextualized to students’ everyday lives. In addition, this media has been shown to foster students’ interest in learning, motivation, and active involvement in science. However, its effectiveness is influenced by several factors, including media design, the learning model used, and student and classroom characteristics.
