Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Terhadap Hasil Belajar Sains Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in elementary schools still faces challenges related to students’ low academic achievement due to conventional teaching methods that provide limited interaction and engagement. Students in the third grade, who are in the concrete operational stage, require interactive learning media and meaningful activities to understand abstract concepts such as the characteristics of living things. This study aimed to examine the effect of Genially based learning media integrated with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the IPAS learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 40 third-grade students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data was collected through learning outcome tests administered in pretest and posttest formats and analyzed using an independent samples t-test with the Jamovi statistical application. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the pretest scores (p > 0.05), indicating comparable initial abilities. However, the posttest results revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the use of Genially based Project Based Learning media significantly improves students’ learning outcomes in IPAS. Therefore, genially can be considered an effective interactive learning medium for improving elementary school students’ understanding of IPAS concepts.
