Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kompetensi pengelola laboratorium IPA SMP berdasarkan Standar Kerja Kompetensi Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI). Ada enam dimensi yang meliputi Tata Kelola Lembaga Pendidikan, Tata Kelola Dokumen Mutu, Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3), Pengelolaan Limbah, Klasifikasi dan Penanganan Bahan Kimia, serta Keterampilan Dasar Laboratorium IPA Penelitian dan pengembangan dengan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) digunakan untuk mengonfirmasi, menganalisis, dan mengembangkan item yang dirancang. Four-D digunakan sebagai desain pengembangan instrumen. Sebanyak 40 item diuji pada 111 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan Mplus untuk mengonfirmasi confirmatory factor analysis. Berdasarkan hasil pengembangan, sebanyak 38 item instrumen sangat signifikan karena loading factor/estimate lebih dari 0,50. Instrumen yang dikembangkan lalu diuji dengan Cronbach Alpha diperoleh 0,979. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan terbukti valid dan reliabel untuk mengukur kompetensi pengelola/kepala laboratorium IPA SMP. Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan model pelatihan berbasis Continuous Professional Development (CPD) bagi pengelola laboratorium untuk meningkatkan kompetensi secara berkelanjutan.
